Andrea Filz (Withrow)

Andrea Filz (Withrow) was with a global asset manager in the Denver Metro area for nearly 24 years. In her last role, she led efforts around regulatory reporting and the development of a firm wide inventory of regulatory filings and their underlying requirements. Her experience at Oppenheimer was diverse, including multiple leadership and front-line roles in a variety of areas. Andrea has worked as an Internal Auditor, Client Relationship Manager, Trainer, and Retirement Plans Implementation Specialist. Her efforts have included managing large regulatory efforts with both internal and external requirements, development of a training program for the Internal Audit function, acting as a liaison for high profile brokers, and public relation work for high profile clients such as the FDNY.
Andrea is a strong community advocate with a focus on her local community as well as active duty and Veteran Soldiers and their families. She was actively involved in OppenheimerFunds, Inc.’s Business Resource Groups and was a key member of the Military Network Steering Committee from its inception in 2016 until the company’s closing in 2019. Outside of work Andrea has served on the Board of the Denver Centennial Chapter of AUSA (Association of the United States Army) since 2012 and is the current chapter President. Her strengths include event planning for all size events (charity runs/walks to multi-day conferences to black tie events), social media and communications, networking, and building relationships. She also serves as President of Sunburst HOA, a Board Member at Large for Comstock Estates HOA, Co-Chair of the Fruita Historic Preservation Board, a Board Member at Large for the Aurora Police Foundation, and has previously served on the Aurora Police D.A.R.E. Board.
She holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Behavioral Science and History from the Metropolitan State University of Denver, is a Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Investments and Derivatives Auditor, and was FINRA Series 6 Licensed. Outside of the office, Andrea likes to travel and stay active by spending time with her family and friends and volunteering or attending various community activities.
