Salute Colorado’s Mission is to support Veterans in their transition from military service through a continuous program of education, mentorship, and fostering community. We empower military leaders to emerge as business and community leaders.

Meeting the Need

Military service members who are transitioning out of active duty are faced with many unknowns.  Most have never written a resume, attended a job interview, or negotiated a salary.  They are moving from a culture defined by its rigid structure, clear hierarchy, and command-based leadership, to one that is more collaborative, flexible, and nuanced. Salute Colorado is making these unknowns known to Veterans through our three integrated programs.

Our Unique Approach

Veterans truly are a national asset, and at Salute Colorado, we recognize their value as leaders in the civilian workforce and the communities where they live.  We combine a local network of supporters and resources with an intentional curriculum, professional networking and dedicated mentoring to ensure that no Colorado Veteran is underemployed.

We also understand that each transitioning Veteran faces unique obstacles in integrating into civilian careers and communities.  Our programs meet their needs by providing each with individualized support before, during, and after program participation.  They also foster deep connections with local industry professionals, and between Veterans, their peers, and resources.

Finally, Salute Colorado creates a community that encourages alumni to remain actively engaged with, and pay it forward to, those coming up behind them.
